Childhood

Childhood became the main theme song for Free Willie 2-The Adventure Home

If you really want to know about Michael Jackson's personally, this goes straight to the heart. That night after Christmas of '93, as things were looking dire, his hand becomes that of a poet.

As a slow Ballad lullaby, "Childhood" has more of a feel-good tempo interwoven within beautiful strings and keyboards. A very reflective number with a hint of Baroque Classical music in the mix.

As a child, Michael was verbally and even physically abused. Plus there was no time to horse around(as children do). Ever since the age of five, touring and rehearsing was about the only thing he knew. Naturally, this can get to your head.

"People say
I'm not O.K.
Cause I love
Such elementary things

It's been my fate
To compensate
For that childhood
I've never known

Have you seen my childhood."

I hope you understand he's not wacko. Just another human being searching for meaning. Something we all do constantly. Especially late at night. When our hearts aren't edited. All humans have had arrows pierced into their souls. Of both sorrows and joys. And Michael's not any different.

"Before you judge me
Try hard to love me
The painful youth
I've had....."

...And

"But within your heart
Then ask.....

Have you seen my childhood."

After the success of Will You Be There, "Childhood" became the main theme song for "Free Willy 2-Adventure Back Home!

Childhood-The Short Film

Michael is sitting on top of a tree stomp in the forest, contemplating about his lost childhood. We are given a sneak preview into his imagination as he share with us the joys and lost wonders of childhood! From sailing ships that mimic Peter Pan to Pirates on an adventure, Mr. Jackson invites us to partake of the joys of being childlike.

You Are Not Alone

Michael Jackson's single You Are Not Alone is the first ever to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100

Now we come to the albums only love song. Not a mere lovers scene but as Michael Jackson the husband.

Indeed more speculations shrouded both of them as they were half naked. But no private parts were remotely exposed. Guess they weren't used to Michael Jackson without trousers.:)

I hope Michael doesn't overly lean on good old controversy, he's got plenty of talent to compensate and then some(wink).

Anyways, back on topic. To date, "You Are Not Alone" is the only single to have ever reached #1 on the Billboard Top 100 Charts! Surpassing his previous #5 achievement for "Scream/Childhood". To pull those stunts after what he's gone through in my book is a true genius!

And it's no wonder! The Gospel Love Ballad is easy to remember. Add to that a Soulful resolution very reminiscent of Motown's golden years!

 R. Kelly wrote this for him, knowing what Michael was going through. Both of them recorded the tract together. However, it was solely Michael's idea to add the harmonies with a choir to spice things up a bit. Here is an excerpt from R. Kelly.

"I was amazed when Michael called me because, for years, I just didn't expect to go to that level. I was so nervous, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to finish the project. When I first got to the studio something weird came over me. Michael was on a different level, and it was a hell of a level to go to. But passion took me over, and it put a shield around me, and allowed me to be just a normal guy who felt like he worked with Michael all the time."

Yet just recently a Belgium judge just ruled(September 7th, 2007) the song as plagiarism. R. Kelly wrote the words to the song for MJ. Consequently, Kelly must give up his share of the coveted royalties. Jackson apparently had no idea about the situation. Despite jointly producing the medley with him.

You Are Not Alone-The Short Film

"Finally", he thought. "This will prove I'm not a child molester". I believe this was all part of a desperate plan to clarify his image. However, I am also convinced Michael never intended to use her. Since they had something going(according to Lisa Marie).

That aside, being married to Michael Jackson's like a dream come true to millions. Just watching them kiss, many critics call it the marriage of the century!

The scene starts out with Michael downtrodden and empty despite winning an award. But finds fulfillment frolicking with his wife as a Greek philosopher. Although the film is more or less Romantic, I think it has a three-way interpretation.

1. Michael pledges to always be there for his wife(which we've already discussed).

2. After enduing a "swift and sudden fall from grace", Mr. Jackson desperately wants somebody to love.

3. He wants to further poke fun at the media by having no bodily hair(a secondary male characteristic.

Regardless of your interpretation, Michael will always be remembered for his grandiosity-Even for his wife.

Michael Jackson Tabloids

Rumor #1 Jackson went back under the knife with sticky posts on his mouth. No:(...

Michael played with "Blanket" and like most families, accidents do happen. In this case Michael Jr. whacked his father on the jaw, bruising his upper lip...And no his lip did not burst or fall off.

Rumor #2 Michael will perform at the super bowl...O.K. This is self-explanatory.:)

Apparently, Akon announced over an interview of a Michael Jackson Pepsi promo. Many took that(Including me:)) as an MJ appearance. Now Akon did hype a bit about the commercial. Which turned out only to feature Naomi Campbell dancing with a bunch of lizards Thrillicious.

Rumor #3 Michael demanded an award. Grammy officials considered but then said "Beat It"!-That's ludicrous! They tried to go along the same lines with BET and American Idol. All of it is false.
In reality, Mike was not feeling well and asked to be excused from The Grammys.

Rumor #4 The Gloved One to collaborate with Usher on his upcoming new album...Nope. Sorry...:)

Rumor #5 Neverland Ranch went on foreclosure. Not true...

#1 His Past financial manager has screwed things up. Leaving him to do all the dirty work.

#2 In real estate, there's a thing called assets. Rich people invest in them to make more dough in the long run. Putting your property on mortgage to invest on something bigger(i.e. record companies, catalogs, etc.) can leave you reclaiming your house back...And then some!!! But only if you know what your doing.

Right now(as you all can tell) the economy and housing market has hit rock bottom. Everyone from Bill Gates to the Joneses next door have been affected...And Michael Jackson is no different. I wish the media would just lay off the guy. He knows what he's doin'.(wink)

His siblings are doing just fine...And the story of Janet buying her parents a new home?..Let's not even go there.:)

Rumor #6 When the judge gave the verdict "not guilty", folks mysteriously reported witnessing strange phenomena like toast flaring out of toasters with Michael's face encarved within....This guy really has an imagination. I'm impressed!

Rumor #7 The real Michael Jackson died 17 years ago. A white man took his place!..Saw this one comin' sooner or later. Trust me. Every police agency known to man would be after him if this had any credibility.

Rumor #8 Michael Jackson endorses Ron Paul. Oh! Would I have been eternally grateful if that only were true. In reality though, The Spoof is where it originated.

Rumor #9 Michael will sell half of his stake of the ATV/Sony Catalog... Nada:) He still owns 50% of the Sony/ATV Catalog.

Rumor #10 Michael dumps Paul McCartney...Although I agree they should of done another collaboration for Thriller 25(instead of Wil.I.Am, all original tracks(including the McCartney feat) are preserved within the catalog album. In their purest form. By the way, both Paul and Yoko supported him during the trials.

Rumor #11 Jackson disappoints... No signs of booing at Christian's Bash. The Michael Jackson 411 has some footage of the party...And no. He did not(nor intended to)visit Nelson at his birthday bash.

Rumor #12 Incapable of Vegas Comeback! Appears this guys jealous he won't get a piece of the action.

Rumor #13 Moving to Trump Tower...Still at the Palms to date.

Jeffry Daniels was the creator of the moonwalk...Although he performed the move a year earlier. Jeffrey also picked it up off the streets. In fact, both him and Mike learned the move independent from each other. Over time Jackson brought it to the next level and mainstreamed it. Michael invited Daniels on the set of "Smooth Criminal".

James Brown, Ben Baily, and even Chaplin from the 1930's are believed to perform precursors of the worlds most famous dance move. Originally a turn-over slide illusion, Michael took the term and applied it under an umbrella of sliding dance-steps. The most notable originally coined "The Backslide".

Other then suing The Pirates that's pretty much all of it. Stay tuned for "You Are Not Alone.

Come Together

How appropriate to add this Beatle gem for the way the album was going. Originally John Lennon wrote it as a satirical play on Ronald Reagan's gubernatorial opponent-Timothy Leary. Who was guilty on possession of marijuana.

So what's this got to do with Mike. Well as Leary was, his accuser was shot-up with pride(Danny Chandler 1993). The boys father destroyed Michael's career all because he wanted to get his kick-started.

But in actuality, Michael executed this cover during the mid to late 80's. "Come Together" was just one of many Beatle covers he was working on. Possibly for another album separate and apart from The Bad Sessions. But the project was halted(for unknown reasons). Yet "Come Together"(his favorite Beatle tune) managed to be considered for his then upcoming album. But was rejected in favor of a concert during Moonwalker's resolution.

"Come Together" has been the most parodied song of all time. So it's no surprise Jackson grabbed a piece of the pie. I'd say The Beatles did a fantastic job. So why bother being reminiscent? However, Michael's Hard Rock Funky interpretation does justice to the original! He brought the song to a whole new generation 20 years later!

The Michael Jackson 411

I just wanted to take a moment and give you the Jackson 411.

On Caged Matches

Last Saturday MGM Studio was treated with a unique spectator-Michael Jackson! Well, I see he got a new hobby.:) Glad the guy had somethin' to do this Memorial Day Weekend.
Not wanting to draw attention to himself, he wore a disguise on a wheelchair.

New Single?

Whats more! According to Los Vegas Magazine, Michael's supposed to release an all-new single in mid-June(not to be confused with U.K.'s "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' 2008" release)! Wouldn't doubt if the date gets postponed. But I'll keep you posted.:) The tidbit can be found Here. Ya might have to search real hard(wink).

*Update* I was right. It won't premier until August or September. He will also be featured on Akon's late July release "Hold My Hand.

**Update**It looks like that won't be happening either. I guess we'll have to wait till sometime in 2009.:(

Michael At the King of Fashions Birthday Party

One day prier, the Gloved One blitzed his way to a surprise appearance on Christian's birthday bash. Arguably nicknamed the King of Fashion. Compared to the turn of the millennium, MJ's lookin' good! Despite not performing, the crowd went wild! And they weren't even his fans!

Emjay Spotted At A Movie Theater
Way in the back where only the sacred enter. Michael was seen with kids boarding an SUV. He treated the kids out to a new episode of The Chronicles of Narnia. The theater is all part of The Palms Hotel somewhere amoung the Los Vegas strips.:)

Thriller Gets Added Unto the Library of Congress
Just recently Thriller received the honors to entering the holy of holies. Here's what is said about it..."Michael Jackson's second album with legendary producer Quincy Jones attained stratospheric national and international success. Featuring outstanding performances by Paul McCartney on 'The Girl is Mine' and a metallic Eddie Van Halen guitar lead for 'Beat It,' the album’s influence on the record industry and subsequent popular music is immeasurable. The album also includes the strong post-disco-inflected 'Billie Jean' and the compelling title track 'Thriller', featuring an eerie voice-over by Vincent Price. Jackson’s keen pop sensibilities, performances by a wide range of talented musicians and Quincy Jones' expert production all contributed to making 'Thriller' the best-selling album of all time."

Ne-Yo May be featured on one of Michael's Tracks

R&B/Soul artist Ne-Yo recently let the cat out of the bag. Both are collaborating on a couple of tracks. One of them just may make the cut for Michael's much anticipated upcoming album. Same story with Akon, Wil.I.Am, and producer Redone. Still no word on a launch date apart from maybe a release sometime during the Fall or in 2009(some even estimate March 2010). Trust me. When he's ready, look out world!:)

Possible 02/Vegas Concerts In The Making

Michael is currently in talks about throwing off concerts in Los Vegas and the O2 Arena at London England. Nothings been confirmed yet. But I'll let you know what happens.

*Update*-March 6th, 2009 Michael Jackson announces 10 dates for London! More of the developing story Here!

Two Michael Jackson books To Be Released

Yes. You've heard me right. June 23ed Jackson himself will release a Thriller 25 autobiography going into detail about those Thriller Album Sessions.

Book #2 is a work of Bruce Swedien all about collaborating with the King of Pop. It's name?.."In the Studio With Michael Jackson". No word on a release date as of yet[*Update*-July 27th 2009].

Kids Spotted a Second Time Without Masks

All three of his children were shown without masks again. This time in a book store. Michael was said to be in the music section nearby. They look like pretty normal(and cute) children to me.

--------------

...And that about wraps things up for the MJJ 411 scoop. Next I'll try to straiten the rumors and debunk the tabloids.:) Bye bye for now[New post up: Michael Jackson Tabloids].

Now back to our scheduled series-Come Together(Beatle Cover).

Money

Before you throw this off as some attempt to be Caucasian, take a closer look. I felt the same way when this first reached my ears.

Over on an MJ message board(I believe it was Maximum Jackson), I inquired. Asking why he would write such outlandish lyrics idolizing money like some hard-core Heavy Medal artists do today? He(or she) assured me Mike was only satirizing the love of money. How people would sacrifice their souls for the almighty dollar. And how true with what he's been through.

The love of money(an excessive unhealthy yearning for) is truly the root of all evil. Decency, integrity, and loyalty are sacrificed on the alter of Mammon. Ethics are exchanged for a temporary notation. My God was right. Greed will lead you to do things you'd never thought possible(1 Timothy 6:10).

So no. Michael had no intentions in deifying the buck. Only exposing the whole corrupt system(the media and the record industry).:)

Originally, Sony wanted to release "Money" as a single for the HBO special. However, "This Time Around". Furthermore, Michael fainted during rehearsals which caused Sony to shelve the project anyways.

Money - Michael Jackson

Money - Michael Jackson

Lyrics

Money...
Lie for it
Spy for it
Kill for it
Die for it
So you call it trust
But I say it's just
In the devil's game
Of greed and lust
They don't care
They'd do me for the money
They don't care
They use me for the money
See em' go to church
Read the Holy word
In the scheme of life
It's all absurd
They don't care
They'd kill for the money
Do or dare
The thrill for the money
You're saluting the flag
Your country trusts you
Now you're wearing a badge
You're called the "Just Few"
And you're fighting the wars
A soldier must do
I'll never betray or deceive you my friend but...
If you show me the cash
Then I will take it
If you tell me to cry
Then I will fake it
If you give me a hand
Then I will shake it
You'll do anything for money...
Anything
Anything
Anything for money
Would lie for you
Would die for you
Even sell my soul to the devil
Anything
Anything
Anything for money
Would lie for you
Would die for you
Even sell my soul to the devil
Insurance?
Where do your loyalties lie?
Is that your alibi?
I don't think so
You don't care
You'd do her for the money
Say it's fair
You sue her for the money
Want your pot of gold
Need the Midas touch
Bet you sell your soul
Cuz your god is such
You don't care
You kill for the money
Do or dare
The thrill for the money
Are you infected with the same disease
Of lust, gluttony and greed?
Then watch the ones
With the biggest smiles
The idle jabbers...Cuz they're the backstabber's
If you know it's a lie
Then you will swear it
If you give it with guilt
Then you will bear it
If it's taking a chance
Then you will dare it
You'll do anything for money...
Anything
Anything
Anything for money
Would lie for you
Would die for you
Even sell my soul to the devil
Anything
Anything
Anything for money
Would lie for you
Would die for you
Even sell my soul to the devil
Anything
Anything
Anything for money
Would lie for you
Would die for you
Even sell my soul to the devil
Anything
Anything
Anything for money
Would lie for you
Would die for you
Even sell my soul to the devil
You say you wouldn't do it
For all the money in the world
I don't think so
If you show me the man
Then I will sell him
If you ask me to lie
Then I will tell him
Your playin' with God
So he'll condemn you
You'd do anything for money
Anything
Anything
Anything for money
Would lie for you
Would die for you
Even sell my soul to the devil
[X7]
[You want it?
You Earn it
With decency
And integrity
Work hard
For a livin'!]
Money's what makes the world go round
[multiple times]
Yo dirty
[multi-times]
Jo scumbag
Go tell it to the devil
[song fades]

D.S.

What New Jack Swing is to Dangerous, Protesting became a theme for History. Those allegations sure affected his views. Many that are who believe Michael lost his inspiration. Which I agree(to an extent) but not fully. Michael Jackson still had Most of his mojo! "Earth Song", "Little Suzie" "Smile" and "History" all attest to his hardy genius.

*nbsp; His amazing ab-libs in conjunction with a crisp Hard-Rock high-strung emotional jam make "D.S." a traditional achievement. Something only Michael Jackson would ever come up with.

The teaser(album commercial) in my humble opinion was way too grandiose(even for Michael Jackson). I thought the opening scene for each History concert during the album tour could have easily replaced that.

Here D.S. stands for Dom Shelden. A fictitious allusion to a Santa Barbra County District Attorney. Otherwise known as Thomas Snedden(it was used on purpose to avoid a lawsuit). Personally I don't know the man so it would be unfair to swiftly judge him. But I doubt Jackson would ever needlessly slander anybody. Not to mention he did actually sing his name(using his own unique accent).

Throughout the song Michael makes it clear someone was on a vendetta to destroy me. Clearly the combination of the jackpot in addition to Mr. Jackson's easy-going character made him an easy target to exploit.

They wanna get my butt
Dead or alive
You know he really tried to take me
Down by surprise
I bet he commissioned with the CIA
He don't do half of whatever he say

Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man

He out shockn' every single way
He'll stop at nothing just to get his political fame
He think he bad cause he's SBDA
I bet he never had a social life anyway
You think he brother with the KKK?
I know his mother never taught him right anyway
He want your vote just to remain TA.
He don't do half of whatever he say

Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man

Dom S. Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man

Does he send letters to the FBI?
Did he say to either do it or die?

Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man

Dom S. Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man
Dom Sheldon is a cold man

Dom S. Sheldon is a cold man

Earth Song

Michael Jackson's single Earth Song knocked Free As A Bird and progression from the #1 U.K. spot

A one of a kind orchestral masterpiece. A catchy humanitarian opus injected with a dash of Opera, Gospel, and Blues. Michael Jackson informs us on the state of the world and begs us once again to make a difference.

Mr. Jackson goes green in an attempt to call on us to preserve God's gift to humankind-Planet Earth. The need to stop the Bosnian war was an additional cause that needed attention. Many innocent victims(including children) starved to death(due to the politics of distribution).

Poachers(a.k.a. those who kill game for fun) along with needless deforestation and pollution motivated Michael in setting aside a branch within his "Heal the World Foundation" to campaign for a cleaner Earth. Can you remember this line?.."call 1-800 Heal the World-123":)

"Earth Song(formally "What About Us") went on to achieve a number one position in both Germany and Britain. As a matter of fact, it even surpassed U2's "Progression" and The Beatles "Free As A Bird! Attaining the much coveted #1 position on The U.K. Singles Chart! As of this day, it remains on of Jackson's best-selling single(even without a U.S. release).

Collaboration and Inspiration

One night while staying over an Austrian hotel during The Dangerous Tour, Michael composed a poem. Concern for the environment moved him to produce another philanthropic anthem on the need to be green.

Michael approached Shirley Caesar for a duet but backed off since she felt the track didn't suit her style. Additionally, many among Christendom were criticizing her for being involved with Michael Jackson. Although she highly admires MJ(and knows he's innocent of pedophilia), the church world at that time was not quite convinced yet. Yet despite this, Mr. Jackson invited her to an all-star song "I Have This Dream"(now shelved).

1996 Brit Awards

Michael did Not portray a messianic figure for the music video. Ironically, Michael gives credit to God when their prayers are heard and answered by a glamorous Earth restoration. Jarvis and many others fail to look closely at the film. Obviously the Brit scene of '96 shows us he just wanted to be seen.

Earth Song-The Short Film

We start with Michael walking though a ciphered rain forest petitioning God and man. Man-To become aware and take action. God-To plead for the Earth to be revived.

Many around the world join his cause by putting ashes on their head to show their remorse. Finally, a prayer is answered with a miraculous display of the world being restored to it's former glory.

Lyrics

What about sunrise
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain...
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've she'd before
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?

Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah

What have we done to the world
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son...
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores

Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah

I used to dream
I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don't know where we are
Although I know we've drifted far

Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaah

Hey, what about yesterday
(What about us)
What about the seas
(What about us)
The heavens are falling down
(What about us)
I can't even breathe
(What about us)
What about apathy
(What about us)
I need you
(What about us)
What about nature's worth
(ooo, ooo)
It's our planet's womb
(What about us)
What about animals
(What about it)
We've turned kingdoms to dust
(What about us)
What about elephants
(What about us)
Have we lost their trust
(What about us)
What about crying whales
(What about us)
We're ravaging the seas
(What about us)
What about forest trails
(ooo, ooo)
Burnt despite our pleas
(What about us)
What about the holy land
(What about it)
Torn apart by creed
(What about us)
What about the common man
(What about us)
Can't we set him free
(What about us)
What about children dying
(What about us)
Can't you hear them cry
(What about us)
Where did we go wrong
(ooo, ooo)
Someone tell me why
(What about us)
What about babies
(What about it)
What about the days
(What about us)
What about all their joy
(What about us)
What about the man
(What about us)
What about the crying man
(What about us)
What about Abraham
(What was us)
What about death again
(oooooo)
Don't we give a care
Hoo! X10

This Time Around

This Time Around made #23 on the Billboard Hot R&B Singles Chart purely off of radio airplay

After a moments reflection, paranoia once again takes the stand. We can also feel sarcasm at the boys(Jordan Chandler's) father who failed to destroy his image(though leaving a big scar). To learn more, visit my other post "False Allegations Against the King of POP".

Jackson proves once again to be relevant on a crisp hard-core jam. With eerie special effects adding to the illusion of paranoia. If his duet with Rockwell isn't a clue, "This Time Around" goes ahead and blatantly affirms someone's out to get Michael Jackson(if only he didn't use profanity to convey it).

The Notorious B.I.G. is invited to feature a haunting Rap segment. Even claiming to be surveyed and wire-tapped. Possibly alluding to Tom Snedden.

Upon arriving in Texas, Christopher Wallas(a.k.a. Mr. Biggie) receives a message from Michael Jackson. In a fit of hysteria, Biggie couldn't contain himself. Yet when he came to his senses, Wallas realized it was the King of Pop and he want's you to feature on one of his songs!

And so he arrived at the studio and laid down his Rapping segment. The only problem, Michael Jackson was no where to be found. But before he walked out that door, there he was! Mr. Biggie's literally ran up and hugged Mr. Jackson. He was so exited, it was almost as if he was a kid again!

The song rose to #23 on the Billboard R&B Airwaves Charts. A single was to be released for an HBO special. But was canceled after Jackson fainted during rehearsals. It now stands in limbo.

This Time Around Lyrics(Clean Version)

Ligger6X
Ligger6X
This time around I'll never get bit
Though you really wanna fix me
This time around you're making me sick
Though you really wanna ditch me

Somebody's out
Somebody's out to get me
They really wanna fix me, hit me

But this time around I'm takin' no shank
Though you really wanna get me
{intercom echo: Though You really wanna get me}

[He really thought. He really thought]
He really had a hold on me
[He really thought. He really thought]
They thought they really had control of me
[He really thought. He really thought]
He really had a hold on me
[He really thought. He really thought]
They thought they really had control of me

This time around I'll never get bit
Though you really wanna get me
[You really wanna get me]
But this time around I'm takin' no shank
Though you really wanna fix me
[You really wanna fix me]

Somebody's out
Somebody's out to use me
They really want to use me
And then falsely accuse me

This time around
They'll take it like spit
'Cause you really can't control me
[You really can't control me]

[He really thought. He really thought]
He really had a hold on me
[He really thought. He really thought]
They thought they really had control of me
[He really thought. He really thought]
He really had a hold on me
[He really thought. He really thought]
They thought they really had control of me

[He really thought. He really thought]
He really had control of me
[He really thought. He really thought]
They thought they really had control of me
[He really thought. He really thought]
He really had control of me
[He really thought. He really thought]
They thought they really had control of me

(Rap: The Notorious BIG)
Listen, I've got problems of my own
Flashin' cameras, taps on my phone
Even in my home I ain't safe as I should be
Things always missin'
Maybe it could be my friends
They ain't friends if they robbin' me
Stoppin' me from makin' a profit, see
Apology shallow like the ocean
I guess I'll resort to gun totin'
If I was dead broke and smokin'
I'd probably be by my lonesome
I'm a killer nigga I ain't jokin'
Endo smoke got me choked and I'm hopin'
The fool comes slippin'
So I could blow'em open
This time around
I changed up my flow
Got rid of the rocks
Got Pitts by the door
I've raised other peoples to watch my back
Stay away from strangers

They thought they really had control of me

Get me, fix me.
You really tried ta git me.
Use me, accuse me.
Nobody's goin' to use me.

Take me, shake me.
Nobody’s gonna break me.
Will me, thrill me.
I like the way he chilled me!

[He really thought. He really thought]
He really had control of me
[He really thought. He really thought]
They thought they really had control of me
[He really thought. He really thought]
He really had control of me

They thought they really had control of me

(This part is also intermingled with the 'He really thought's. Just listen to the end of the song and you will hear it.)
Use me, accuse me.
Nobody's goin' to use me
Fix me, wish me.
Nobody's goin' to dish me.
[He really thought. He really thought]
They thought they really had control of me
[He really thought. He really thought]
He really had control of me
Had control of me

Stranger in Moscow

Strange In Moscow became Michael Jackson's most critically acclaimed single yet

After hearing Michael's blistering protests, we come to a more calmer sadistic Balled. Whom Bruce Sweden refers as the "best song he had ever put together". The blending of the guitars along with the ethereal minor-key tapestry gives a very vivid perception of "a swift and sudden fall from grace". A well-rounded feeling Michael Jackson has got the Blues.

Imagine one night the whole world in awe of your achievements. Then the next night, they call you a pervert who deserves to rot in hell! That's exactly what happened one night in August 1993!

Suddenly his pride was snatched away. No longer did people at large consider him on top of the world. Armageddon had set up quadrants in Michael's brain. Depression had nearly sapped him clean.

--------------

Many are baffled on his choice of words. "Kremlin"s shadow belittlein' me." Stalin's tomb won't let me be." and "KGB was doggin' me." "Take my name and just let me be". The Soviet Union fell in 1991 so just what was he talking about?

Add to the confusion a Russian speaking at songs end. In English, this is what he said. "Why did you come to us, you, o man from the West? Tell the truth! He came to steal the great achievements of the people, the great accomplishments of the workers". Again, what's this have to do with being lonely? Is there a secret message here?

A fellow fan has revealed it might have some similarities after all. Like the Soviet Union, his career once unreachable has now suffered a severe blow. But I still don't get why Michael alluded to the dictator Stalin? Maybe it's hyperbole. After all, music is a form of poetry.

Personally, how do you interpret those lyrics? There's no right or wrong answer. Just wondering what your perspective is.

Stranger In Moscow-The Short Film

Take a peak into the window of Jackson's soul. As he reveals loneliness at heart. Everything's in slow motion. Exactly how he feels life has been.

Like those 5 strangers in Moscow, Michael is dangerously lonely. Without anybody to talk to.

I agree Michael's had it tough. But what about all the cherished moments. Like mist obscuring the starry skies, is sadness to the shiny moments.

Lyrics

I was wandering in the rain
Mask of life, feelin insane
Swift and sudden fall from grace
Sunny days seem far away
Kremlin's shadow belittlin' me
Stalin's tomb wont let me be
On and on and on it came
Wish the rain would just let me

How does it feel (how does it feel)
How does it feel
How does it feel
When you're alone
And you're cold inside

Here abandoned in my fame
Armageddon of the brain
KGB was doggin me
Take my name and just let me be
Then a beggar boy called my name
Happy days will drown the pain
On and on and on it came
And again, and again, and again...
Take my name and just let me be

How does it feel (how does it feel)
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel (how does it feel now)
How does it feel
How does it feel
When you're alone
And you're cold inside

How does it feel (how does it feel)
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel
How does it feel (how does it feel now)
How does it feel
How does it feel
When you're alone
And you're cold inside

Like stranger in Moscow
Like stranger in Moscow
Were talkin danger
Were talkin danger, baby
Like stranger in Moscow
Were talkin danger
Were talkin danger, baby
Like stranger in Moscow
I'm livin lonely
I'm livin lonely, baby
Stranger in Moscow

(KGB interrogator-Russian to English translation)
Why have you come from the west?
Confess! To steal the great achievements of
The people, the accomplishments of the workers...

They Don't Care About Us

Michael Jackson's hit They Don't Care About Us became his most controversial number yet

On with the protest theme, we come to a situation of prejudice. Michael's say on the abuse of power and authority. Especially on minorities.

Just listening to this Classical Hip-Hop/Reggae percussion eerily reminds me of John Lennon's "Give Peace A Chance"(yes, it appears he was the first Rapper). From the organic wooden-clattering clappers to the digitally enforced mellow-dramatic police scanner, Michael certainly makes you feel for those abused convicts(of course, never endorsing what they've done).

Yet plenty of controversy surrounded his use of derogatory lyrics. Many thought "Jew me" and "Kike me" to be anti-Semitic slurs. But on the contrary, they were borrowed to express his disgust of discrimination and Social Darwinism.

"My intention was for this song to say 'no' to racism, anti-Antisemitism and stereotyping."-Michael Jackson

Eventually Michael recalled the album and personally mixed those words out at his own expense. Adding a few extra studio effects to drown them out.

"Just the thought my lyrics would offend and hurt anyone's feelings is extremely painful to me."-Michael Jackson

But that did not stop the bickering.

MTV and VH1 refused to show the prison version until the after hours because of it's somewhat violent nature. So he released the former Brazilian outtake a week later. Yet Jackson leaked a censored version for his fans to enjoy. Editing out all the scenes of dead bodies and the Holocaust.

Just seems controversy was what made him sell at that time. Many folks(sadly) personally did not like him. However, the guys music was a whole different story! Why else would History become the double-platinum best seller?

2. They Don't Care About Us(Dallas Main Mix) - 7:56

They Don't Care About Us-The Short Films

When it comes to the Status-Que, even he'll agree we've come along way. But As much as we'd like to think otherwise, he reminds us of the painful fact that the war isn't over yet. To this day, pharmaceuticals kill more people taking their medicine as prescribed then all illegal drug abuse combined! A conflict of interest is keeping the government from taking action!

The Prison Version

The Prison Version brutally reminds us of all the hate crimes committed the world over on account of ethnic pride and twisted ideologies! Weather it be Castro, Hitler, Stalin, or even The KKK, organized hate crimes have done nothing but encase eternal scares.

At first eating lunch with his inmates, Michael Jackson starts a protest which gets the whole jail-house chanting in the spirit of rebellion. If society is going to get reformed, then we like Teddy Roosevelt and Martin Luther King Jr. must take a stand!

The Brazilian Version

The Brazilian Version is more of a protest against the miserable living conditions experienced within Rio De Janeiro's and Al Salvador's slums in Brazil. With Spike Lee calling all the shots and a civil rights Brazilian band named Olodum. Over the long run, Jackson's pioneering spirit eventually somewhat improved the living conditions at Dona Marta(although they still got a long way to go). A fire was started by Michael and has engulfed the Shanty Town with hope of a brighter tomorrow.

Lyrics

Skin head, dead head
Everybody gone bad
Situation, aggravation
Everybody allegation
In the suite, on the news
Everybody dog food
Bang bang, shot dead
Everybody's gone mad

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Beat me, hate me
You can never break me
Will me, thrill me
You can never kill me
Jew me, sue me
Everybody do me
Kick me, kike me
Don't you black or white me

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Tell me what has become of my life
I have a wife and two children who love me
I am the victim of police brutality, now
I'm tired of bein' the victim of hate
You're rapin' me of my pride
Oh, for peeps sake
I look to heaven to fulfill its prophecy...
Set me free

Skin head, dead head
Everybody gone bad
trepidation, speculation
Everybody allegation
In the suite, on the news
Everybody dog food
black man, black male
Throw your brother in jail

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Tell me what has become of my rights
Am I invisible because you ignore me?
Your proclamation promised me free liberty, now
I'm tired of bein' the victim of shame
They're throwing me in a class with a bad name
I can't believe this is the land from which I came
You know I do really hate to say it
The government don't wanna see
But if Roosevelt was livin'
He wouldn't let this be, no, no

Skin head, dead head
Everybody gone bad
Situation, speculation
Everybody litigation
Beat me, bash me
You can never trash me
Hit me, kick me
You can never get me

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Some things in life they just don't wanna see
But if Martin Luther was livin'
He wouldn't let this be

Skin head, dead head
Everybody gone bad
Situation, segregation
Everybody allegation
In the suite, on the news
Everybody dog food
Kick me, strike me
Don't you wrong or right me

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us
All I wanna say is that
They don't really care about us

Scream

Michael Jackson's Scream became the first single ever to debut at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100

As I promised, today will be day one of our review on the "History Album...Which brings us to a smash hit single "Scream! With Childhood on the B-Side.

Michael & Janet share their joys and frustrations together as brother and sister. Apparently, things still weren't ideal with their father. Add to the chaos the medias manipulatory tactics and you've got one heck of a frustrated fella! The deaf-defying base vibrations clearly symbolized the rage within. Michael's vocals sound very adamant and deliberate-Almost throat-parching. Although clearly not the case, the sirens and heavy machinery are reminiscent of a mid-90's urban street full of delinquents and rebels-Hyperactively dancing the fury away!

Janet's producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis were hired as the executive producers. As a consequence, "Scream" went to uncharted territories. Making it the first to hit #5 for the Billboard Hot 100! I wonder where he keeps all his trophy's!

As of yet, "Scream" is the most expensive music video ever made! Costing the pop singer approximately $7 million. That's without inflation adjustment! Who knows what the figure would be today(2008).:)

Scream-The Short Film

Michael & Janet express in many ways the pain of how the media slanders, deciphers, and twists the truth and gets away with it. Michael is exceptionally furious on the medias unprofessional handling of the 1993 allegations.

Michael has always had a field day with the tabloids. Weather it be Bubbles, The Elephant Man, or even taking female hormones, Michael Jackson fast became the King of Tabloids(or as they labeled him Wacko Jacko)-A title he is not proud of.

So after the media had a heyday pointing the finger without anything to back them up, Janet joined his brother to let out the pain, the hurt, the tears-The pressure of the mediaplex.

Justice is sacrificed for bureaucratic tape. The powers that be are what control society. This coupled with favoritism causes the walls to close in. And so they have no choice but to board an alien spacecraft-Something you would only find in a Sci-Fi flick.

Michael and Janet express their feelings through creative channels such as dance and Pop Art. The anger they have towards their dad and The Press even gets a little vulgar at one point(though Michael himself did not say the F-word). The black & white atmosphere further brings home the stressful aura of losing your mind!

Now I understand Michael and his sister were making a point(and they were rightly angry). But being a Christian, I felt it was inappropriate to go off the beaten path to get that message across.

Scream Lyrics

Michael
Tired of injustice
Tired of the schemes
The lies are disgusting
So what does it mean-darn it
Kicking me down
I got to get up
As jacked as it sounds
The whole system screwed up-darn it

Janet
Peek in the shadow
Come into the light
You tell me I'm wrong
Then you better prove you're right
You're sellin' out souls but
I care about mine
I've got to get stronger
Never gonna give up the fight

Michael
With such confusions don't it make you wanna scream
Your bash abusin' victimize within the scheme

Janet
You try to cope with every lie they scrutinize

Both
Oh brotha please have mercy
Cause I just can't take it
Stop pressurin' me
Just stop pressurin' me
Stop pressurin' me
Make me wanna scream
Stop pressurin' me
Just stop pressurin' me
Stop pressurin' me
Make you just wanna scream

Michael
Tired of you tellin' the story your way
It's causin' confusion
You think it's O.K. darn it

Janet
You keep changin' the rules
While I keep playin' the game
I can't take it much longer
I think I might go insane

Michael
With such confusion don't it make you wanna scream
Your bash abusin' victimize within the scheme

Janet
You find your pleasure scandalizin' every lie

Both
Oh brotha, please have mercy. cause I just can't take it
Stop pressurin' me
Just stop pressurin' me
Stop pressurin' me
Make me wanna scream
Stop pressurin' me
Just stop pressurin' me
Stop pressurin' with me
Make me wanna scream

Janet
"Oh my, can't believe what I saw
As I turned on the T.V. this evening
I was disgusted by all the injustice
All the injustice"
(Michael)
"All the injustice-tiss"

Anchor Man
"A man has been brutally beaten to death by
Police after being wrongly identified as a
Robbery suspect. The man was
An 18 year old black male..."

Michael
With such conclusions don't it make you wanna scream

Janet
Make you wanna scream! Make you wanna scream!

Michael
Your bash abusin' victimize within the scheme

Janet
You try to cope with every lie they scrutinize

Both
Oh brotha please have mercy. Cause I just can't take it
Stop pressurin me. Just stop pressurin' me
Stop pressurin me. Make me wanna scream
Stop pressurin me. Just stop pressurin me
Stop pressurin me. Make me wanna scream
Stop pressurin me. Just stop pressurin me
Stop pressurin me. Make me wanna scream
Stop pressurin me. Just stop pressurin me
Stop pressurin me. Make me wanna scream

History Era Part 2

Michael Jackson History-The best selling multi-disc album of all time

Wasn't flattered at all by the albums teaser. Thought it too grandiose. Instead of dancing for the masses, he's got 50 foot statues of himself terrorizing the whole European Continent(not to mention an idol cast in his image)! I Wish they hadn't pushed him to pull this kind of stunt(just doesn't seem like the Michael I know).

But I believe it was all part of a plan. After all, didn't he mention this on an interview once? "If you thought Dangerous was controversial, just wait till you see this one!"

History Album Critique

The album first takes on a stroll down memory lane with such hits from "The Dream Team" as "Rock With You", "Billie Jean", "Bad", and "The Way You Make Me Feel". Let's not forget about how Teddy Riley aided Michael in producing "Black Or White" and "Remember The Time". The journey ends on a philanthropic note to "Heal The World".

Now this is where things get interesting. Disc 2 starts out on a venomous outrage. And goes on a multi-genre spin with about 5 producers all lined up. Weather he's in a spaceship(with his sister) on "Scream", a prison cell chanting "They Don't Care About Us", a tabloid stand preaching to "Tabloid Junkies", getting lonely as a "Stranger In Moscow", or even frolicking about in a Greek temple(whispering in Lisa Marie's ear "You Are Not Alone"), these 14 tracks have got something for just about everyone. Even for the Disneysque and Classical lovers among us!

One thing I find irritating was the few swears. But unlike many Rappers of that day, it was kept to a bare minimum. From hard-core protests to gentle mindscaping Ballads-A synchronization of Hard Rock and Hip Hop, History Continues is all about cutting-edge controversy and mind-aching nuances that grow on you until you can't get enough of him!

.Controversy followed when Emjay performed on the BRITS Awards. Jarvis Cocker was drunk that night and for who knows why deemed the "Earth Song" skit as idol worship. Marching onstage, he sticks his rear-end towards Jackson then fights with security guards while harming children in the process. Later on he apologizes and reveals why he did it.

.June 20th, 1995 was the albums launch date. Selling just about 20 million copies, "History became the best-selling double-platinum of all time. Plus, he broke two additional records!

.First with "Scream". Afterwords the unspeakable occurred! "You Are Not Alone" became the highest Billboard 200 single of all time(#1)! No single has come close ever since! Two years later another record is broken!

."Blood On the Dance Floor" becomes the best-selling remix album of all time! Just amazing how he does it! He even broke world touring and concert records. Michael Jackson's History Era Pt. 1

Here are some tidbits on Michael Jackson's "History era" happenings...

.May 26th, 1994 Michael Jackson Marries the king's daughter Lisa Marie Presley. The Marriage of the Century had just occurred. These two have been seen dating since February. Attending The Temptations reunion concert on one occasion.

.Many viewed the marriage as a means to prove he's not perverted. On the contrary, Lisa admitted frankly on an interview "We really had something goin'".

.They both agreed to do an interview together as a couple on Primetime Television.

.It was feeding time at the zoo. Michael opened the music awards as prince charming. Sweeping Lisa off her feet with the "Kiss of the Century"!

.Both had aspirations together. "I am very much in love with Michael. I dedicate my life to being his wife. I understand and support him. We both look forward raising a family and living happy, healthy lives together." But unfortunately, this mutual feeling didn't last.

.Nineteen months later they filed for divorce over irreconcilable differences(mainly over issues of the press). Though Michael begged to work it out. Eventually both agreed to part ways. Still, they reunite now and then as just friends.

Other Dangerous Era Happenings

The Michael Jackson 411 Dangerous Era...

1. February 10th, 1993 another record is broken when "Michael Talks To Oprah". The highest rating interview of all time! 100,000,000 viewers! Revealing his love life with Brook Shields and some mysterious 80's chick(I Believe from "The Way You Make Me Feel" or Ola Ray from "Thriller"). Folks started to understand and appreciate the guy. But of course right before the allegations rear their ugly faces. Go Here to watch the full interview.

2. Michael hires Sigfried & Roy to produce some magic tricks throughout the Dangerous tour with David Copperfield. Michael sang and produced "Mind Is The Magic". Appreciating the hard work they put in. The Toaster Effect and Rocket Man are to their credit.

3. June 18th saw the release of Jackson's "Dancing the Dream" indirectly promoted by his sister Janet on the 35th Grammy awards(see Dangerous-The Short Films to watch the show.

4. Merging his catalog with Sony 50/50 is considered the biggest deal ever struck in music history. Earning him at least $200 million. 100 of which was upfront. The rest between a span of a few years!

6. On August 24th Michael was accused of fondling a child by a money-hungry father! But was forced by his insurance company to pay an undisclosed amount of money to the family. After brutally attacking his reputation, the media did little(if anything) to repair it. The child himself was on Michael's side. His Father forced him(against his will) into testifying otherwise. More below...

7. On his 35th birthday Michael planned a huge Neverland bash. Whoever won the contest received a V.I.P pass and have dinner at Neverland and stay overnight with the King of Pop!

...And that concludes my review of The Dangerous Era. I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have. Our next stop takes us over to the History Era! Stay tuned...

Michael Jackson Dangerous Tour

A flier advertising Michael Jackson's Dangerous World Tour

Summer has arrived and Michael just launched his world wide tour. Thrilling fans from all backgrounds. Each concert rang in the Panther Dance. The censored last 4 minutes of "Black or White". Even closing as an astronaut taking off!

Yes Mike had his ups and downs(e.g. Bucharest). Mentioning poor health as the reason the last leg was cut short.

With complications with prescription painkillers and the added stress of facing possible jail-time, Michael called it quits after Mexico City. Plans for Australia and the U.S. were halted.

In 1993, MTV did a six part series on the tour entitled "The Dangerous Diaries". Watch the hour long footage below...

Michael Jackson Dangerous Commercials

At the pinnacle of his career, Jackson received numerous invitations to appear on various commercials. However, due to a hectic tour schedule, he turned many offers down.

Michael announced all his proceeds of the Dangerous Tour will go to "Heal the World Foundation" among other charities he helped establish. In fact, Pepsi canceled it's Black or White promo when he was suspect of child molestation. 15 years is what it took for them to believe otherwise(see Thrillericious. Here's a Pepsi commercial spoofed as Black Or White below...

"Dreams" is more of a short film then a commercial. The girl from "The Way You Make Me Feel" did her last shot for Michael. She's the one tantalizing him in his dreams.

Michael Jackson and The Simpsons

The year was 1991. Many there were who anticipated a new album. Rumors spread high and low about it's release(much like today). Like Thriller 25, he pulled a pre-marketing stunt.

Michael Jackson contributed 2 hits for The Simpson's. One featured on the episode "Stark Raving Dad". But due to Sony's stringent terms & conditions, Michael was not allowed to sing.

So an impersonator named Chris Kipp Lennon contributed vocals while Emjay did the talking.

To hear the original version go to Lisa It's Your Birthday(Demo).

He also wrote and lent backups on "Do the Bartman" for the same soundtrack. With Bart performing the rap-Old School Flow.

This sure left a lot of people hungry for more Michael Jackson Music. Especially by the new teasers floating around which will discuss on our next post.

Next, commercial ads during The Dangerous Era.
