Alleged Hit And Run By Michael Jackson

Just this past Wednesday(while Michael Jackson stopped to get a routine check-up), a paramedic(Jamin Mauro) has claimed a severe whiplash from an alleged hit-and-run by an SUV Cadillac. The driver is said to be hired by Mr. Jackson. Of whom turned himself in but was subsequently released over lack of evidence. Initially, Jamin(the Paramedic driver) claimed a minor hit-and-run.

But now the story has been spiced-up by and smashed rear-view mirror and a dislocated neck, arm, and shoulder-blade collectively known as a whip-lash. Yet police have confirmed "There were no injuries reported." Furthermore, the Paparazzi saw no such damages except a perfectly operating ambulance van a few minutes after the SUV was parked, just waiting for the King of Pop. What's more? the paramedic had plenty of time to speak directly at the driver but made no such attempts except to sit idly behind MJ's SUV.

What's The Scoop On Michael Jackson's New Album?

So far only a new single has been confirmed from singer Michael Jackson's concert promoter Randy Phillips. President of AEG live. The company behind the 02 Arena. Although the album itself has not been announced, one can only infer a launching in the Fall(if everything goes as planned).

It appears Michael is blending the old with the new. Three notable figures that together with John Robinson(who's confirmed as not collaborating) formed what we loved most about Michael Jackson-His 80's vibe! According to various sources, Frank Delio(his manager from 84-89) has been seriously considering getting back together with MJ. Quincy Jones although hesitant at first, is confirmed working with the superstar by Carlos Santana. Word has just gotten out last Summer that John Landis is producing a new short film with The Gloved One(though a recent lawsuit kinda makes you wonder).

Now for the new shots, he has been working with the likes of Teddy Riley, Rodney Jerkins, Steve Pageot, Giorgio Tuinfort(of Swiss Beats). In addition, Wil.I.Am, Akon, Feemster, as well as Neyo, RedOne, Syience, and Sean Garrett has submitted quite a handful of tracks for Michael's approval.

But just because a name has been mentioned doesn't mean it'll happen. History has taught us a good lesson these past 20 years(remember "Serious Effect"?). We shall only wait and see what this new era will bring us(and what name it will bear). But in the meantime, I have compressed an exhaustive list of confirmed quotes and interview by name below. Just remember-Michael has confirmed on Ebony that he is doing a lot of writing and producing himself. So most of these probably won't see the light of day.

On The Rolling Stone Magazine November 2006

For a month we probably talked three times a week. He'd be like, "I need you to dig deep inside! Do something that's unprecedented!" He'd hum a little melody over the phone or something. Eight song sketches were conjured out of phone conversations, then we met up in Ireland for a week and finished three ideas. We tracked one song--the running title is "I'm Dreamin'."

He just said, "Great melodies." In January we'll spend a month together. I want it to sound like Off the Wall for today. He's been really open to ideas. But as far as his vocal abilities are concerned, he's still killing everybody.

On another issue(Feb. 2007), Rolling Stone has reported...

The pair drafted eight new songs and physically tracked one, titled "I'm Dreamin'".

Around the 13th of August that same year, they confirmed...

Will.I.Am told reporters at a Black Eyed Peas press conference in South Korea that another track he recorded with Jackson is titled "The Future". Another song title that will.i.am has revealed is "Still The King".

One month later, he was quoted as saying...

We’re taking it day by day, we’ve finished some songs. I like what I’m doing, I’m really happy with it, but it’s not my project to talk about. I could be talking about song titles what they sound like and be excited about it, but those songs I made may not make his record and then I look like an idiot.

I'm excited, I'm highly excited because I think it's gonna be magic when we get together.

All the stuff that he's going through, that he's been through the past two years, the stuff that's been out in the media...The stuff that hasn't been out, I think he needs to just take all that(and) put it in his records. It's a big story.

Nobody's ever really heard Mike's story...People go by what they heard or what they're told but nobody has never heard him and his story, and what captivated all those movements. You know, he's never told me he didn't like something and not given me a reason as to why. I've been working on some songs for his new album and if he doesn't like something he'll explain to me why he doesn't like it. Michael's new album has to be amazing. This album needs to be better than 'Thriller'. He wants killer melodies. I've already submitted some songs but we have no idea when it's coming out. It's not like it's a secret, it's just that nobody knows when the album is being released. When it comes to Michael, I'm not allowed to talk about the recording, but I can say he's unbelievable, honestly the best that music has ever known, the ultimate star, artist, musician. Every other star I work with, I tell them I'm working with Michael Jackson, and they're like 'Oh, my God!' And when I tell him, he's so humble and polite, he's like, 'Oh, thank you.'

Michael is such a perfectionist in everything he does, every detail is perfect. It's all ear candy. Me and Akon were watching him work in the studio, laughing like little children. He is a super nice and polite guy. I was shocked when I had dinner with him, he is so knowledgeable about so many things, a real business man, and very intelligent.

The Album is very melodic. Very pop. I have no idea when his album will be out. He works with a line of different producers.

Giorgio Tuinfort Reveals Himself As Michael Jackson's New Producer

Well, it appears Giorgio Tuinfort has revealed himself as Michael Jackson's producer. Working on his brand new studio album set to be released later this year(though no date has been officially determined). Right now, Mr. Jackson is making a few finishing touches on this work of art with the Dutch producer.

Earlier, AEG confirmed that there will be new material at the gigs and even a single debut before kicking it all off on July 8th. Tuinfort pretty much confirmed what Philip has said about Michael's comeback. So let's here what the Dutchman has to say about the whole studio project.

"It is one of(as opposed to the) his(Michael Jackson's) last albums, so we work with extra care and precision. It is not yet clear when the album is released. But we are definitely part of the team. We do our best to make something special out of it. Michael Jackson is a very gentle man. He is everything that you don't expect from a superstar."

Giorgio Tuinfort is the producer from Denmark and was born in Suriname. The smallest country in South America. He was behind the production of Gwen Stefanie's The Sweet Escape. Her debut single for the album by that same name in 2006. He has also recently done work with Lionel Richie and Akon. Gio did have some influence on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' 2008". Though I firmly believe more so on the demo. If "The Sweet Escape" is of any indication, I think Michael Jackson has made a smart move!

What were originally thought warm-ups, turned out to actually be a number of choreographers auditioning for a spot on The King of Pop's "This Is It" residential tour! Only a few lucky souls will make it on stage with Mr. Jackson. So far it appears, 8 finalists have been chosen! You can read all about their experiences down below. Will Akon Open For Michael Jackson?

Well according to mjjr.net, DJ Benny has announced a possible opening spot for Akon during the month of July. Now a lot could happen between now and then. But on Benny D's official site, there's a calender of where Akon will be touring. Just recently, July has been posted with this description..."Entire month open for Michael Jackson."-Including a U.K. flag stamped to the side. Which could mean anything for the hottest month of the year. But it appears they are in talks at the moment as nothings been absolutely confirmed per se. I'll let you know how this unfolds in the coming days.

My Feelings

Although I'm by no means an Akon fan, I did appreciate the number they did together last July. called "Hold My Hand". Unlike his take on "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'", I really thought they sounded great harmonizing as a team. I just sure hope Akon does his best and doesn't come up with the line "nobody can top MJ" as an excuse to flop.

Teddy Riley Talks About MJ's Album "Dangerous"

Michael Jackson had just launched the best selling New Jack Swing album of all time! The year was 1992 and anticipation had driven the largest viewing audience of all time for "Black Or White". 5 years had already passed since the King of Pop released his last studio album "Bad" in 1987. Yet a lot has happened within those gaps.

Mr. Jackson bid farewell to Q in favor of the more industrial sounds of New Jack Swing producer Teddy Riley. Whom he first met on the set of "2300 Jackson Street". The last Jackson's studio album which led them to break up eventually. The singer was said to be so impressed that he invited him to recording sessions for an upcoming album(then just a rumor). This is also when Michael was introduced to Hip-Hop for the first time.

So after the album and all subsequent singles were released, Riley agreed to get interviewed by Keyboard Magazine on his many ventures. Including his crowning work with Michael Jackson which I have excepted right here.

Teddy Riley Talks About His Involvement With Michael Jackson

When you do have a bass part, it often has a strong analog feel, as on "Remember the Time."

For me, that song was true R&B. I didn't put hip-hop into it until the remix. For that, I used a real upright jazz bass on a hip-hop beat. I really like that one. I also changed the organ part on the remix and did it with my voice through a vocoder.

Some of Michael's early work with Quincy Jones was much more fully orchestrated. Were you consciously deciding to go in an opposite direction in your collaboration?

As far as my production, yeah. I didn't want to go the same way Quincy went, but I also didn't want to leave his style. So I took a little bit of each. I had my style and his style in my head, and I put them together.

What is there on "Dangerous" that reflects Michael's earlier style? On "She Drives Me Wild," for example, there seem to be some chordal echoes of "Thriller".

Well, that's what he wanted. He said, "You know what I'd like to have overlaid to new jack swing? I'd still like to have my strings. I want the strings to be really wide." So that's what we did, even on "Dangerous."

Michael also seems to be referring to "Bil-lie jean" in his falsetto vocals on "Dangerous".

"Dangerous" had already been recorded by Bill Bottrell [co-producer of four cuts on Dangerous), but the music didn't move Michael. I told Michael, "I like Billy. I like his producing, and everything about him. But this is your album, Michael. If this is the right tune, I can utilize what you have in your singing. Let me change that whole bottom and put a new floor in there." He said, "Try it. I guess we gotta use what we love." And we did. I'm quite sure that if anyone else had come up with a better "Dangerous," he would have used that. So it's not actually about me or Billy; it's about the music. I always say that the music is the star.

Was there an element of having to follow in the formidable footsteps of Quincy Jones on this project?

Well, that's my plan. I want to be like Quincy Jones. I've always looked up to him, more than to any other producer out there. He's the one. Like Quincy, I just can't stay in one category. I'll do any kind of music. It's like being a scientist: You have to find the right method for solving a problem or curing a disease. That what producers do. When you're working with someone, you've got to find the right style, the right sound, for them. You have to draw a circle around each artist and make them fit into that circle.

How much of your work on Dangerous was based not just on finding a sound that works, but on finding a sound that contrasts with the one that Michael and Quincy developed?

Almost all of it.

So if you came up with something that sounded a bit too much like Thriller, for example, that was reason enough to abandon that approach and search for something different.

Yes. We didn't want to sound like another Thriller. We wanted to top it, even though that's impossible. I guess some people are saying that Dangerous is better than Thriller or Bad. But I won't say it's better until it sells as much as those albums. If Dangerous doesn't sell more than Bad, even with the recession that we're having, then I don't feel that it's better.

You play keyboards on all of the cuts that you produce on Dangerous. But a number of players in addition to you are also credited as keyboardists on the opening song, "Jam."

Well, "Jam" was brought to me as just a drum beat. Rene Moore and Bruce Swedien came up with the idea and gave it to Michael as a beat, so you can't take that credit away from them. But it was just a stripped tune until Michael did his vocals and I came in with the icing. I actually added most of the keyboard parts, all of the percussion elements, all of the horn parts, and all of the guitar parts to make the tune what it is today.
